KEEPING PEDESTRIANS SAFE

Total Tactilez, as New Zealand’s leading tactile solutions provider, is determined to create safer environments for the blind and visually impaired. Installing Bladed-Shaft Tactile Bars & Studs saw that this busy Takapuna bus stop made pedestrians aware of the location and warned them to stay clear of the Auckland traffic. With the project stretching over hotmix seal, concrete, and clay pavers, the Bladed-Shaft Tactile Bars & Studs was the obvious option.

Formerly the name Lake Road, or the Main Road, encompassed a number of streets. From November 1914 the road name was limited to just that part from Hurstmere Road south to Clifton Road. Today, Lake Road incorporates a larger stretch of road and a whole lot more including increased pedestrians and bus stops.
